SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN Settings
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?
We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support students within specialist SEN school environments. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children and young people who require additional support to thrive both academically and personally.
Please note that a full valid driving licence and an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service are ESSENTIAL.
The Role
- Supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
- Working within specialist SEN provisions and alternative settings
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Supporting students with communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Requirements
- Previous experience working within SEN, SEND, care, or specialist education settings preferred
- Comfortable supporting with personal care duties
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service required to fast-track your application

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
