Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Portsmouth, Hampshire
Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a meaningful difference every single day? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Portsmouth.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
-
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
-
Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
-
Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging learning environment
-
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where required
The Ideal Candidate
-
Has experience working with children in a primary school setting
-
Has experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
-
Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
-
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Holds a relevant TA qualification (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
