SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant – Portslade (5 Days Per Week)
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Portslade for 5 days per week, starting after October half term.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEN/SEMH needs in a classroom setting
- Providing tailored assistance to help students engage in learning
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive environment
- Using patience, empathy, and creativity to support students' development
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN/SEMH children (in a school or similar setting)
- A calm, understanding, and proactive approach
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff
- A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
