Job Advertisement: SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 4 Class (Peacehaven)

Start Date: June 2nd
Location: Peacehaven, East Sussex
Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working in schools and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Year 4 class in Peacehaven after the May Half Term. This exciting full-time role will offer you the opportunity to work closely with children, supporting their individual learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

  • Working with small groups and providing 1-1 support for children with Special Educational Needs.

  • Assisting with the development and delivery of differentiated activities.

  • Helping children to build confidence, independence, and social skills.

  • Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and patient individual with a passion for supporting children.

  • Experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is highly desirable.

  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
