A secondary school for those with additional learning needs is actively recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team.

The role is based within the Autism based of the school, which is for those with more complex needs, including Severe Autism, Physical Disabilities and Mental health needs.

The role would be to support their engagement within tasks set by the teacher, supporting their communication and maintaining calm within the classroom, alongside other Teaching Assistants.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role would be suitable for those:

  • With experience of supporting complex needs, such as those who have worked in care or nursing.
  • With professional or personal experience of supporting people with additional needs
  • Who have a calm and patient manner
  • With high levels of resilience

The role would be Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30-15:40 with the school based in Oldham. The role is with an immediate start subject to standard vetting checks,

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
