Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH School, Norwich (Full-Time)

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an all-boys SEMH school in Norwich, supporting pupils aged Year 3–11. This is a full-time role with an excellent temp-to-perm model and opportunities for staff training and professional development.

A driving licence is a MUST, as well as having a Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service to fast track your application!

What You’ll Do:

  • Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs across key stages 2–4
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning and 1:1 support where required
  • Contribute to a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualised strategies for learning and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential for fast-track application
  • Passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to working as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
