An SEN primary school in Manchester are looking for experienced teaching assistants to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis. The children at the school are ages 4 to 11 and have a variety of different complex additional needs that means they require specialised and individualised support from an experienced team of staff. The school is currently Ofsted Outstanding, so are looking for teaching assistants with a wealth of experience and knowledge to uphold the positive reputation of the school.

Role and responsibilities

  • Work with KS1 and KS2 aged pupils with additional needs to provide support inside and outside of the classroom
  • Support students to behave respectfully and progress positively through their education
  • Work with other staff to create a cohesive team of support for children in the school
  • Be able to provide constructive feedback to staff and parents

For this role you should:

  • Have previous experience working within schools in a support role
  • Have an understanding of different additional needs and how they may affect learning
  • Have experience dealing with possibly challenging behaviour in a safe and caring way
  • Be proactive and keen to learn and develop

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
