A primary SEN provision in Manchester is looking for teaching assistants to start in full-time positions. The school is an Ofsted Outstanding provision, and has small classes of students with extensive and individualised support for each child.

Responsibilities

-          Collaborate with class teachers to create individualised learning plans

-          Assist in personal care and moving and handling of students

-          Create a safe and encouraging learning environment

-          Provide one-to-one and small group support

-          Work closely with parents and guardians to ensure consistent communication and feedback

Requirements

-          Experience working with SEN children

-          Genuine passion for working with children with additional needs

-          Strong communication skills

-          Empathy and patience

-          Experience with possibly challenging behaviour and de-escalation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
