Are you an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Pastoral Lead looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEN school in Leatherhead that supports young people with SEMH and Autism, where you'll play a key role in keeping students safe, supported and engaged in their education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated team, leading on safeguarding, behaviour and attendance while working closely with staff, families and external agencies to achieve the very best outcomes for every student.

The role:

  • Lead all safeguarding processes as the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

  • Support positive behaviour and student wellbeing across the school.

  • Work closely with families, social care and external professionals.

  • Monitor attendance, behaviour and safeguarding records.

  • Deliver safeguarding and behaviour training to staff.

  • Support students with SEMH and Autism to overcome barriers to learning.

  • Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive school environment.

We're looking for:

  • Previous DSL experience within an education setting.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH or Autism.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • A calm, proactive and compassionate approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
