Inclusion Needs Assistant (INA)

Location: Horsham
School Rating: Good (Ofsted)

We are a welcoming, inclusive, Good-rated Ofsted school in Horsham, seeking a dedicated Inclusion Needs Assistant (INA) to join our supportive team, working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) across the whole school.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with ASC and who values a therapeutic, child-centred approach to learning and emotional wellbeing.

  • Upcoming vacancy (from after February half term):
    Shared 1:1 support for two delightful girls with EHCPs, both with ASC

About the Pupils

The pupils are engaging, fun, and a pleasure to work with. They benefit from a therapeutically informed approach and from strong, consistent relationships with trusted adults.
While they may occasionally experience challenges, dysregulation is rare. They feel safe, happy, and settled in school and enjoy positive relationships with staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with ASC and/or EHCPs (desirable)

  • Be calm, nurturing, and reflective in their practice

  • Understand, or be willing to learn about, therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team

  • Be committed to promoting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
