Teaching Assistants Needed ASAP - to start ASAP or September 2023.

Pay: Competitive Pay.

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

We are working with a SEN school to recruit Teaching Assistants to to support the learning and development of their students. The pupils in this provision are aged 5-19 and all have a diagnosis of some form of complex learning difficulty including Autism, SEMH and PMLD. As a result of these needs there is lower-level learning than a traditional school and a higher level of nurture support.

The pupils who are school age have a curriculum based around independent living and life skills.

Due to their additional needs the pupils present behaviours that require a higher level of support which you as the Teaching Assistant would be helping to provide.

This is a fantastic school which offers a great opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

The ideal candidate:

Strong behaviour management skills
Previous experience working with students with SEN/Challenging Behaviour or other experience that is transferrable.
Experience in care work.
A nurturing but firm personality
Available 5 days a week between 8:30am and 3:30pm
Will have a Child Enhanced DBs on the update service or will be willing to apply for one

If you believe you are the perfect candidate and can provide support and inspire these young people, please send your CV over today or call Katy Demeter 01604 378545.
