The Role
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide tailored support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially. You will play a key role in creating a structured, engaging and positive learning environment while supporting pupils with their individual learning, communication and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication and learning needs.

Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.

Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.

Implement behaviour support strategies and maintain a calm, structured classroom environment.

Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and external professionals.

Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
About You
-
Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is essential.

Experience working with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is highly desirable.

Patient, caring and resilient with a positive attitude.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Able to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Flexible, proactive and committed to supporting every child's development.

Relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualifications are desirable but not essential.
