The Role:

You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students ranging in the ages 5-19 years old. This school specialises in providing care for pupils with the following additional needs:

• Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
• Specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia)
• Complex emotional trauma
• Moderate learning disabilities
• PTSD
• ODD

This is a specialist educational setting that supports children and young people with complex needs. It offers a nurturing environment with tailored learning plans, therapeutic support, and vocational opportunities to help pupils develop independence and life skills. Who We Are Looking For:

• In depth SEMH experience with young people
• General SEN(D) experience with young people
• A patient, resilient, and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children and young people
• Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
• Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
