Job description

Full Time SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School Setting

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role?

We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming primary schools, supporting a child with Special Educational Needs on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference and providing consistent, tailored support to help a child thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with SEN

  • Delivering structured support in line with the child’s EHCP and individual targets

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Supporting emotional regulation, engagement and positive behaviour strategies

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)

  • Is patient, nurturing and resilient

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships

  • Is proactive and able to use initiative

  • Is committed to full-time work and consistency for the child

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
