General Teaching Assistant – Low-Level SEN Support
Location: East Grinstead
Rate: £84 - £95 per day (DOE)
Type: Full-Time | Long-Term | Start: September 2025
Are you a compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistant with a passion for inclusive education? We’re looking for someone just like you to support a Year 1 classroom in a welcoming East Grinstead primary school starting September 2025!
Your Role:

Provide tailored support for pupils with low-level Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
-
Deliver one-to-one and small group support to boost confidence and academic progress
-
Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour
-
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and families to meet individual learning needs
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children (education setting preferred)
-
Knowledge of SEN support strategies and a nurturing approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to adapt
-
Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service – Essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
