Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4–18 in a specialist setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students with a range of special educational needs, supporting both their academic progress and personal development.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons
  • Support students with additional learning, behavioural, and emotional needs
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Encourage independence and confidence in all learners

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education/support work (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
