Then we may have the role for you!

Teaching Personnel are working closely alongside an Autistic Specialist Provision to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant to join their School on a full time basis.

Ideally you’ll have experience working with/ supporting pupils with Autism with a great manner of building relationships with both students and staff. Although experience isn’t always necessary! The right attitude and willingness to learn goes a long way!

The students attend the school due to a diagnosis of Autism and many have co-existing conditions including ADHD, sensory processing disorder, disruptive behaviour disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, tics and Tourette syndrome, epilepsy and learning disabilities.

You would need to be confident and capable of supporting pupils in an education capacity that do have difficulties with communication and learning as well as those who have sensory difficulties. Therefore, a resilient character that has the ability to work proactively with challenging behaviour would be ideal.

The role is more challenging than mainstream schools, but the class sizes are smaller, so you’ll really have a great opportunity to build rapport and make an impression on the children.

The centre has been known to appoint candidates who get on particularly well on a long-term basis, which is a real incentive to show off your skill sets!

Some of the benefits:

-          Full time position available and a high chance of a permanent contract

-          Excellent rate of pay, minimum of £10.20 per hour through PAYE

-          Level 2 safeguarding training provided through Teaching Personnel as well as many additional courses!

-          You’ll be assigned a personal consultant to oversee the whole process & assist with your day to day queries as well as organising any training sessions you might be interested in

-          No hidden admin fees
