 I am currently on the lookout for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join one of our SEN schools in Cambridge on a full-time basis! This role initially will be temporary, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff further along in the academic year.

Although classroom experience is desirable, we welcome all applicants who have any type of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with Special Needs.

  • Monday – Friday, term time only.
  • Hours are 8:45 – 15:15.
  • Pay rate – £77 – £85 per day, on a PAYE basis.
  • Internal training provided and access to our Level 2 Safeguarding Children course.

What to expect from the role:

  • Working with students who need additional support either on 1:1 basis or in small groups.
  • Motivating and inspiring children to learn and participate in classroom activities.
  • Contribute to record-keeping by recording observations of pupils during the school day.
  • Support the teacher with general classroom and behaviour management.
  • Prepare lesson resources.
  • Support the class teacher to help ensure the day runs smoothly.
  • Some personal care may be required in certain schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
