SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary Special Schools
Full-Time | September Start | Greater Manchester

Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools throughout Greater Manchester. These schools provide specialist support for pupils with a variety of additional needs and are looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic individuals to join their teams this September.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or come from a background in care, youth work, sports coaching, residential care or support work, this could be the perfect opportunity to begin or continue your career in specialist education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while supporting their academic, social and emotional development.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom.
- Supporting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs, learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and wider school staff to deliver personalised support.
- Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
