Teaching Personnel is now recruiting committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). These remarkable students, aged 5–16, may be non-verbal, have physical disabilities, and require personal care. Your role could have a real and lasting impact on their learning journey.

Key Role Information:
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (exact times may vary by school)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, during term time
Contract Type: Temp-to-perm options for the right candidates

What the Role Involves:

  • Supporting students with PMLD using a personalised, adapted curriculum (1:1 and small group work)

  • Providing essential care such as feeding, hygiene, and mobility assistance

  • Engaging students through sensory-based activities and tailored learning resources

  • Collaborating closely with colleagues and contributing to a supportive classroom environment

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a sincere passion for helping others and thrives in an educational setting

  • Communicates effectively and confidently — this is key to success in the role! ️

  • Brings experience from a care or support background

  • Has prior experience with SEN or behavioural needs (a bonus, but not required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
