Salary: £13.75

A Special Educational Needs Residential School in Blandford Forum is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The Role:
You will be supporting classroom teachers in providing the best learning environment possible for pupils aged 7-19 years old, with specific SEND/ additional needs:
- Primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
- Co-existing conditions
- Complex needs
- Challenging behaviour
- Severe learning difficulties
- All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs)

Who We Are Looking For:
- Relevant experience in similar educational/ care settings
- Driving licence beneficial if you live outside of Blandford Forum
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
- Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
