SEN Teaching Assistant – Temp to Perm Opportunity (Blackpool)

Are you a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in Blackpool.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity through Teaching Personnel, offering long-term stability and the chance to work in a highly supportive environment.

The Role:
You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and communication difficulties. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you will help deliver tailored learning and provide essential emotional and behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning activities
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
  • A patient, caring, and resilient nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
