SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD Support | ASAP Start

⏰ Hours: Full Time
Pay: From £92.63 per day, paid weekly
Looking for a rewarding SEN role where you can make a real difference?
Teaching Personnel are looking for a patient, resilient and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with Autism (ASD), PICA and behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEN/ALN experience who can build trust, provide consistency and help a pupil feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
What will you be doing?
- Providing dedicated 1:1 SEN support
- Supporting communication and emotional regulation
- Monitoring PICA-related behaviours and pupil safety
- Using positive behaviour and de-escalation strategies
- Supporting classroom activities and transitions
- Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
✅ We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with ASD, SEN or ALN
- Is confident supporting behavioural needs
- Is calm, patient, nurturing and resilient
- Can build positive relationships and clear boundaries
- Has an Enhanced DBS or is willing to apply
Experience or knowledge of PICA would be an advantage, but relevant SEN experience and the right attitude are equally important!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
