SEN Teacher – Full-Time (March Start)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract: Full-time | 4 months initially (with strong potential to extend)

About the Role
An established and supportive SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from March. This is a full-time position working with learners aged 6–19, delivering tailored education to pupils with a range of additional needs.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a committed mainstream teacher eager to transition into special education. You’ll work alongside a skilled team of support staff, therapists, and senior leaders who are passionate about providing meaningful, personalised learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with support staff to implement EHCP targets and personalised strategies.
- Use creative teaching methods to support communication, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and record progress, ensuring accurate reporting and assessments.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working in an SEN setting is highly desirable, but strong mainstream experience with a passion for SEN will also be considered.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people with diverse needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
