Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting in the Yeovil area from September 2026.

About the Role
We are seeking a committed Primary SEN Teacher who can deliver creative and inclusive lessons tailored around the individual needs, strengths and interests of pupils.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Adapting activities and teaching methods to support a range of learning needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging confidence and independence
- Working alongside teaching assistants and wider staff teams to provide consistent support
- Tracking pupil progress and recognising individual achievements
- Creating structured learning opportunities that promote communication, curiosity and personal development
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher who has a strong understanding of supporting children with SEND and is confident adapting their teaching approach to meet diverse needs.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have equivalent teaching experience
- Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs
- Be confident delivering personalised learning and differentiated lessons
- Have a calm, patient and encouraging approach
- Build trusting relationships with pupils who may require additional support
- Be flexible, proactive and ready to make an immediate impact
Experience within a specialist setting is highly desirable; however, we welcome applications from educators who have a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
