Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and forward-thinking environment? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist provision in the Wigan area, and we are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

The Role: SEN Teacher

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor progress and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Foster positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated SEN Teacher who is:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
  • Experienced in Special Needs Education / SEN settings
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour using positive approaches
  • Skilled in differentiated teaching and personalised learning plans (EHCPs)
  • Passionate about inclusive education and pupil progress
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
