SEN English Teacher – Specialist Secondary SEN School
Full-Time | Long-Term | September Start
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
A specialist secondary SEN school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where you'll have the chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs.

Differentiate the curriculum to ensure all students can access learning and make progress.

Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.

Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team to support student development.

Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets, assessments and reports.

Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Requirements
-
Previous experience teaching English is essential.

Experience working within an SEN setting is essential.

Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.

A patient, adaptable and passionate approach to supporting young people.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, offering the opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
