SEN Secondary Teacher
Location: Stockport

Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational needs (SEN)? If you’re experienced, dedicated, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to work with one of our secondary Specialist Schools in the Stockport area where you will be supporting young people with complex learning difficulties, Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Global developmental delay and Physical Disabilities.
Your Role
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring progress in line with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting plans as necessary to achieve learning outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to annual reviews.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates and support strategies for home learning.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are always adhered to.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole-school SEN strategies and development.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in SEN education.

- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (Update Service)
- Qualified Teaching Status
- Employment references covering the last 24 months
- Right to Work in the UK
- A proactive, resilient, and patient approach
- Safeguarding training (provided by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
