SEN Teacher – Secondary SEN & SEMH Schools

Location: Southampton
Salary: £34,069 – £52,835 per annum
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join specialist SEN and SEMH secondary schools across Southampton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives and education of young people with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Support students with SEN and SEMH needs

  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students

  • Help students develop academically, socially and emotionally

  • Adapt your teaching approach to meet a wide range of abilities and needs

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience

  • Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEN and SEMH students

  • Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education

  • Have excellent communication and behaviour-management skills

  • Be committed to helping every student reach their potential

ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support available.
