Job description
A specialist SEN school in Uxbridge is looking for a committed and confident SEN Teacher to join their Secondary team. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs and offers small class sizes, strong support in the classroom, and a collaborative staff culture.
The Role
You’ll be teaching KS3 learners (ages 11–14) and delivering lessons that are engaging, adaptive and suited to a wide range of abilities. You’ll work closely with support staff in the room to make sure every pupil gets the guidance they need and that routines run smoothly.
Regular communication with parents, carers and leaders is a key part of the role, as is contributing to a positive, calm and structured learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience in SEN or with pupils who have complex needs
- Someone confident in planning creative, differentiated lessons
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
Primary teachers with strong SEN experience are also encouraged to apply.
About the School
The school provides specialist education for children and young people aged 3.5–19 across two closely linked sites. Class sizes are small, and pupils work towards a range of qualifications depending on their needs and stage of development. The Secondary site currently supports around 125 learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
