Teaching Personnel are recruiting an exceptional Qualified Teacher (QTS Essential - no equivalent qualifications accepted) to join a highly regarded specialist secondary SEN school in Blackley.

We are seeking a teacher who is confident in adapting learning, building positive relationships and supporting pupils with significant additional needs. Experience working with PMLD pupils is essential, and applicants must be comfortable delivering highly personalised learning programmes.


✅ Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
❌ Overseas equivalent teaching qualifications cannot be accepted

✔ Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS, or willingness to obtain one

✔ Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils

✔ Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND

✔ Confidence supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

✔ Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

✔ Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

The Role

As a Specialist SEN Teacher, you will:

✨ Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

✨ Collaborate with specialist teaching assistants, therapists and support staff

✨ Support communication, emotional regulation, independence and life skills

✨ Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews and EHCP meetings

✨ Create an inclusive classroom where every pupil can experience success

✨ Implement strategies that support pupils with complex learning and sensory needs
