SEN Teacher
Job description
We are delighted to be recruiting a passionate SEN Teacher with QTS to join a highly respected specialist provision in Dorchester. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, either on a permanent basis or for the remainder of the academic year.
This exceptional setting provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children are supported to thrive both academically and emotionally. The school is known for their strong therapeutic and pastoral support and their child-centred, trauma-informed approach.
Students are supported with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Age Range: 6–13 years

Hours: 8.45am to 5pm (some weekday finish times may vary)

Class Size: Maximum of 8 pupils

Support: Each student has access to a dedicated Teaching Assistant
You will deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support both learning and emotional development, working closely with TAs and the wider multidisciplinary team.
What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience teaching SEN pupils

Minimum 6 months childcare experience supporting SEN – desirable, not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
