SEN Provision Lead / Teacher
Location: Basildon

Contract: Full-time, Initially One Term (Potential for Permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) plus SEN Allowance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Provision Lead / Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Basildon from September. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the school's Autism Support Centre, providing high-quality support for approximately eight pupils across Years 1–6 with autism and additional special educational needs.
Working within a nurturing and inclusive environment, you will play a key role in ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day provision within the Autism Support Centre.
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning and support for pupils with autism and additional SEN.
- Provide leadership, guidance and day-to-day direction to Learning Support Assistants (LSAs).
- Work collaboratively with the wider school staff, parents, the Local Authority and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the highest standard of support.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, annual reviews and other relevant documentation.
- Promote a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment that enables pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Significant experience working with children with autism and complex special educational needs.
- A strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience leading or coordinating SEN provision and managing Learning Support Assistants.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A nurturing, resilient and collaborative approach to supporting pupils and colleagues.
Salary & Benefits
- MPS/UPS (dependent on experience).
- SEN Allowance in line with the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD), typically ranging from £2,679 to £5,285 per annum, depending on the responsibilities of the role and the successful candidate's experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
