Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant (SEN) – Full Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Woking Area
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within mainstream school settings across the Woking area. There will be full-time opportunities, working five days per week, offering a rewarding chance to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ educational journeys.
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential in a mainstream environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
- Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social development
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN pupils
- Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
