We are currently looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher, who is either experienced or a specialist in working with students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs to work within our Specialist Client School. This a full time, temporary position to start ASAP.

We are working with our client specialist school local to the Colchester area, they are looking for an English Specialist Teacher to work with students with SEMH.

The Role

  • To deliver high quality lessons to students with SEMH  
  • To develop lessons that ensure that effective learning takes place for all pupils
  • To ensure that all pupils make progress during the lesson
  • To support pupils across all ages with varying learning abilities

The Candidate

  • Fully Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of teaching pupils with SEMH 
  • Experience of dealing with challenging and sensitive situations
  • Understanding of the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children
  • Knowledge and understanding of the SEN Code of Conduct and its practical application strategies for meeting the SEN of students in a mixed ability classroom
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
