Secondary SEN Teacher – Bolton
Full-Time | September Start | Teaching Personnel

Are you an inspiring SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and well-resourced environment? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Bolton, supporting pupils aged 11–19 with a range of additional needs.


About the Role

You will be teaching and supporting students with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Communication and interaction needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons to meet individual needs
  • Support pupils to achieve academic, social and emotional progress
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
  • Use positive behaviour management techniques
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively

✅ Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching SEN students at secondary level
  • Strong understanding of ASC, SEMH and complex needs
  • A patient, adaptable and resilient approach
  • Passion for inclusive education and student development
