Primary SEN Teacher – Tameside (January Start)

Are you an experienced and passionate teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Tameside from January. You will have a profound impact on the academic growth of children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Sensory impairments and moderate learning difficulties.
About the Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Differentiate the curriculum to meet individual learning needs and ensure progress for all pupils.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and the SENCO to implement personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Liaise with multi-agencies and parents to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of students and help them thrive in all aspects.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary setting.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
