SEN Sports Coach

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £420 to £450

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an alternative provision school in Wolverhampton. We are seeking candidates with a sports background to work full-time as teaching assistants (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm). This role involves providing one-on-one support to children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school serves students aged 11-16 and is looking for enthusiastic team players eager to inspire young learners, support high-quality teaching, and encourage positive life choices.

Ideal candidates will have recent experience working in a school setting and be capable of managing children with challenging behavior. A passion for working with vulnerable young people and a desire to make a significant impact is essential. This full-time role is perfect for those aspiring to be Physical Education teachers, seeking experience with children, or looking for a career in the sports or education sectors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in lesson delivery
  • Organizing and collecting lesson resources
  • Serving as a positive role model to inspire positive life choices and behaviors
  • Using enthusiasm to engage children in lessons

Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE 
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
