Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Bishop’s Stortford
Start Date: After Easter
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic educational setting in Bishop’s Stortford. This is a full-time position, ideal for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, both on a one-to-one basis and within small groups

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in an educational or similar setting

  • Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs and effective support strategies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support

  • Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or behavioural needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
