Location: Manchester
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Teaching Personnel are recruiting an SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary provision supporting pupils aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication needs, physical disabilities, and complex learning needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in a nurturing environment that focuses on academic achievement, independence, communication, and preparing young people for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Assist with learning activities and classroom engagement.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Support students with communication, social, and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs.
Requirements
- Previous SEN experience is essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with complex needs is desirable.
- Patient, resilient, and caring approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
