SEMH Teaching Assistant

This is a great chance to immerse yourself in a school setting in a supportive environment where your main role will be maintaining equilibrium in a classroom environment or resource base in a mainstream primary school.

This role involves:

-          Providing support for children with SEMH, autism and any additional needs

-          Supporting pupils with regulation, behaviour management and communication development

-          Be able to work collaboratively with staff including teachers, therapists and others to maintain the whole discipline of children

-          Allowing pupils to maintain their personal care and supporting them with their needs

You will need:

-          Experience working in a SEN or SEMH school setting

-          Confidence working with pupils of complex needs

-          Excellent behaviour management and emotional management techniques

-          Ideally holds a qualification in the field

-          Safeguarding trained and able to share these techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
