Are you a passionate and adaptable Science Teacher looking for a rewarding permanent opportunity within a specialist SEN/SEMH setting?
Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school that supports children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, with four sites across Totton, Dibden, Fawley and Ower, all within easy reach of Southampton.
We are looking for a committed teacher who can inspire and engage students through Science, with the ability to teach Maths and/or English also desirable.
The Role

Teach Science to students across an age range that will be discussed at interview.

Potentially deliver Maths and/or English alongside Science, depending on your experience.

Adapt lessons and resources to meet a wide range of individual learning needs.

Build positive, trusting relationships with students and provide a calm, consistent learning environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students' academic, social and emotional development.

Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
About You
We would love to hear from teachers who:
-
Have experience teaching Science.
-
Are confident teaching students of different ages and abilities.
-
May also have experience teaching Maths and/or English.

Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, students with SEN and/or SEMH needs.

Are patient, resilient, adaptable and committed to helping young people succeed.

Can create engaging lessons while adapting their approach to individual students.
Experience within an SEN or SEMH setting is desirable but not essential. Teachers from mainstream backgrounds who are keen to develop their specialist practice are encouraged to apply.
The School Sites
The school operates across four sites in Totton, Dibden, Fawley and Ower. Your eventual placement will be discussed and decided following the interview process, so if you are conveniently located for one of these areas, this could be an excellent opportunity.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
