A forward-thinking specialist provision in Shaftesbury is searching for an enthusiastic and adaptable ASC-SEMH Teacher to join their expanding team on a full-time permanent basis from September 2026 or sooner.

This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils aged 4 to 16 with autism, SEMH needs and complex additional requirements.

Every learner has an EHCP, and the school takes a therapeutic and relationship-led approach where communication, trust and emotional development are placed at the centre of education.

 

The Opportunity

This role offers a refreshing alternative to mainstream education with smaller class groups, reduced administrative pressures and the ability to make a genuine impact on individual progress.

You will teach across KS3 and KS4 while delivering engaging, accessible learning experiences tailored to a wide range of abilities.

The role also includes tutor responsibilities, pastoral guidance and maintaining positive communication with families and carers.

The school values creativity, flexibility and compassion, encouraging staff to think beyond traditional classroom approaches to help pupils succeed socially, emotionally and academically.
