SEMH TEACHER - ALTERNATIVE PROVISION - FULL TIME - UNTIL JULY 2023 

An alternative provision based in Chesterfield are seeking an experienced Teacher to join them on a full time basis. This role is temporary until July 2023, but there may be an opportunity to remain with the provision in September. 

We are looking for a teacher with experience working with children and young people who have been permanently excluded, or who are at risk of permanent exclusion. The children and young people you would be working with may have suffered trauma, have attachment or other mental health. We are looking for someone who is resilient, calm, patient and caring - able to build positive relationships with pupils. Ideally you will have some form of Trauma training and be able to use a holistic approach to teaching.

The provision is based in Chesterfield and works closely with local school clusters, taking some pupils on a dual-registered basis. The class sizes are small and well supported, aiming to re-engage pupils and encourage them onto a path of success. The aim of the setting is to enable pupils to become successful learners and responsible citizens.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
