The Role
You’ll be working across SEMH schools, PRUs, and alternative provisions, supporting pupils who may:
- Display challenging behaviour linked to SEMH needs
- Have experienced trauma or disrupted education
- Struggle with emotional regulation and engagement
- Require consistent, structured support to succeed
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering adapted, engaging lessons suited to pupils’ needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships to support engagement
- Using de-escalation, restorative, and behaviour strategies
- Creating a calm, structured, and predictable environment
- Supporting EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Working alongside behaviour mentors, pastoral teams, and SEN specialists
