SEN Support Assistant

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to support a school in Leeds with pupils aged 5-18. The pupils in this school all have an EHCP which name an additional need such as SLD, PMLD, and other complex learning difficulties

Your role as a Teaching Assistant would be to support these young people through their school day. Tasks involved in this would be to help with lessons planned by the teacher, many of which are focussed on social development, character building and based in holistic therapies.

You would be supported by not only the teacher but other support staff such as Teaching Assistants, therapists, and other specialist support.

The ideal Teaching Assistant would have:

• Experience of SEN in a professional or personal setting
• A proactive and engaging personality
• A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
• Patience and Positivity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
