Position: French Teacher

Location: Leyland, Lancashire.

Start date: 29th January 2024

An Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ secondary school in Leyland are looking to appoint an engaging and dedicated Teacher of French who is seeking a new challenge.

The successful Teacher will make a significant contribution to the department, and will ensure all pupils are encouraged and challenged to achieve their very best potential. You will join a staffing team who create a positive learning environment, and work collaboratively to share good practice within the department and in the school as a whole.

The successful French Teacher will

  • Have previous French teaching experience to KS3 and KS4
  • Have a strong classroom presence, and good classroom and behaviour management
  • Have a previous track record of excellent class data results and pupil attainment
  • Have the ability to work under own initiative as well as work as part of a team
  • Be able to commit to a full-time, full year placement

You will join a fast-paced environment with the support of resourceful and skilful teachers, and a solid Modern Foreign Languages department. You will plan and prepare a variation of interactive lessons, encouraging students to engage thoroughly in this subject. You will be confident in teaching students of all learning abilities, ensuring all students have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential.
