Location: Newport, South Wales
Pay Rate: £110-£120 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming secondary school in the Monmouthshire area to recruit a Secondary Classroom Manager. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for Physical Education, as well as confidence supporting learning across a variety of subjects.
As a Secondary Classroom Manager, you’ll step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons, supervise students during teacher absences, and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. There is a particular opportunity to support PE lessons, making this a fantastic role for those enthusiastic about sports, fitness, and motivating young people.
Having coaching experience, sports mentoring experience, or a background in working with young people would be a huge advantage and is highly desirable for this position.
You’ll play a key part in managing classroom behaviour, keeping students engaged, and ensuring they understand what’s expected of them. No two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils and gain invaluable experience within a dynamic secondary school setting.

- Experience supporting children or young people
- Patient, proactive, and able to build strong rapport with students
- Confident managing behaviour and adapting to different classrooms
- Supportive of students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Familiar with core curriculum subjects
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- At least two professional referencescovering the past two years
