Sports Coach / SEMH Learning Support Assistant

I am looking for Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants, to work in a specialist provision within the Truro area on a full time, permanent basis. The school provides full-time specialist education for both Primary and Secondary aged pupils who have social, emotional, mental health and communication difficulties or associated behaviours that challenge. The pupils within the provision are unable to access mainstream education and so I am seeking individuals who are able to think on their feet, work flexibly and want to make a difference to students' lives. The School off a wide range of activities for students to partake in, and require passionate staff to ensure they get the very best from their education.

Staff at this School are particularly friendly and supportive and you will benefit from a wide range of training, to upskill you across all areas relative to the role. For those who are asuccessful after a probation period will be offered a permanent contract, with the ongoing possibility of career progression, flexible working and much more!

School based experience is not mandatory for this role, and those with the following backgrounds will be considered: 

  • Supporting those with ASD, ADHD or SEMH
  • Sports Coaches
  • Care Support Workers
  • Any other roles with transferrable skills would be considered for these roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
