Overview:

Full time teacher of Religious Education.

£550 - £700 per week, dependant on pay scale.

Teaching Personnel are working with a school within the Buxton area would are in need of a Religious Education Teacher for a September start.

The role will be up until the end of the academic year working Monday to Friday, with KS3 and KS4 pupils. It would be ideal for the school if they were able to appoint a fully qualified RE teacher, however anyone who has humanities experience could prove to be a valuable asset for the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lessons within the topics of religious/ethical beliefs.
  • Express and allow for the pupils to understand the diversity in the range of religions.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress throughout lessons.
  • Maintain a strong level of behaviour management.
  • Work with underachieving pupils to develop grades.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant QTS in RE or Humanities.
  • Have experience working within a secondary school setting.
  • Confident in delivering high quality lessons.
  • Hold a full child workforce DBS certificate on the update service (this can be obtained through Teaching Personnel if you don’t own one).
  • Provide 2 work-based references within the last 2 years.
